Mothers are ferocious warriors for their families. Today, those same mothers run businesses repairing boreholes, earning enough to feed their families, pay school fees, and even lend a hand to others.
Some pictures pierce through the clutter and focus our hearts like a laser. Amid primaries, cluster bombs, gas prices, and "what's for dinner," these photos popped up from our South Sudan Team this week.
The effort these children go through for water will not leave my mind.
That's why we provide moms with tools and training to repair wells. We don't want their families to lift heavy buckets of dirty water and and carry them miles in the relentless 120-degree sun.
